The Gifted and Talented Language Arts program is designed to provide selected students with an opportunity to extend their learning beyond the traditional classroom experience.  It is part of a broader commitment we have at Saint Joseph School to ensuring that all of our children are appropriately challenged and supported according to their learning needs and styles. 

Identification of the academically talented student is based on academic aptitude, achievement, and attitude towards learning. Students are selected from grades 5 through 8 based on a combination of standardized test scores, classroom performance, writing assessments, and teacher nominations.
