Throughout the year in Reading and Language Arts, students will be challenged to read egaging and challenging texts with the aim of being able to have thoughtful discussions. Each book will challenge their anlytical skills and prepare students to become deeper thinkers and writers. Our writing classes forcus on a balance of creativity and critical thinking. Students are expected to dive deep into themselves in order to bring out their inner wordsmiths. Students are exposed to all genres of reading and writing so that they have a broad spectrum of knowlege to draw from through middle and high school.
In order to make the most of our education journey, each student is expected to come to class on time ready to both learn and work. All students should maintain a clean and organized environment. Students will be mindful not to talk during class at inappropriate times. All work is to be completed on time. Points will be deducted for late work and some late work may not be accepted at all. Parents should be connected to Class Dojo since that is the main form of communication. Students will respect each other and the classroom.

Homework: Homework will be posted in Google Classroom. You can find the link in the class folder.
Water Bottles: Students are permitted to bring in water bottles. If possible, please have students use reusable bottles.
